My Personal Anti-Inflammatory Supplement Protocol for Reducing Inflammation, Pain, and Stiffness

1. Pancreas Natural Glandular Pork

If I only took one supplement for the inflammation, pain, and stiffness associated with my Ankylosing Spondylitis this would be it.  The reason for this is because one of the main causes for my inflammation, pain, and stiffness is poor digestion and large undigested food particles.  These large undigested food particles cause an immune reaction in my gut that travels to the joints of my spine, hips, ribs, and sternum causing intense pain and stiffness.  These pancreatic enzymes from Allergy Research Group have by far been the most effective for me.  I have been taking these enzymes for over 10 years now and the more I take the better I feel.  I normally eat around 4 meals a day and for each meal I take 8 pancreatic enzymes immediately before the first bite, 8 pancreatic enzymes in the middle of the meal, and 8 pancreatic enzymes after the last bite.  Taking these enzymes with meals has been nothing short of life changing for me in reducing my inflammation, pain, and stiffness associated with AS.

2. OmegAvail Hi-Po

The next most impactful supplement for me in reducing my inflammation, pain, and stiffness is an omega-3 fatty acid supplement.  Omega-3 fatty acids are very anti-inflammatory and from the first time I started taking omega-3 fatty acids it was like putting water on a fire and has been ever since.  I use OmegAvail Hi-Po from Designs for Health because of the high potency of EPA and DHA it contains.  I take 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 capsules with lunch.

3. Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that has greatly reduced the inflammation, pain, and stiffness associated with my Ankylosing Spondylitis.  This is also my top supplement if I have inflammation of the eye.  I take 2 softgels from Designs for Health, once daily with a meal.

4. GLA 240

This GLA supplement from borage oil has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and helps reduce my joint pain and stiffness in addition to reducing any inflammatory reaction of my skin.  I take 1 softgel from Designs for Health, twice daily with meals.

5. SPM Supreme

These specialized pro-resolving mediators help put an end to an inflammatory reaction or flare up I may experience on a rare occasion.  When this does occur, I take 1 capsule from Designs for Health, once daily with a meal for 1 - 2 weeks.

6. Whole Body Collagen

After about 3 - 4 months of daily use, these collagen peptides improved my joint mobility and help reduce joint stiffness, especially in my spine and hips.  I take 1 scoop from Designs for Health, once daily in my smoothie.
